My Thoughts:

Sweet Texas Fire is a sweet love story that creates a slow burning romance that's sure to please readers. The author, Nicole Flockton, has created two believable characters, and plunked them in a unique situation. I've always loved the enemies to lovers trope and that's exactly how this story starts out.

I loved Gage and Charlotte's reactions to each other when they meet in person for the first time. Charlotte anticipated meeting a billionaire who resembled Colonel Sanders, and her jaw dropped open when Gage entered her office. "Why, oh why, couldn't he have a beer gut instead of a flat stomach..." Gage expected a "scorned middle aged woman," and found a spirited redhead with a tempting mouth and "sexy as hell" accent.

Though I suspected where the plot was going--and loved every second of it--Flockton still pulls out some surprises and plot twists in this fast read.

Sweet Texas Fire checks a lot of the in-trend boxes--billionaire bachelor, marriage of convenience, and enemies to lovers. I highly recommend this book to lovers of contemporary romance.
